What's Been Going On???

We Sure Have Has Some Good Times This Past Week.  Our Friend Hannah Has Been Helping Mom Make The Biscuits.  She Is Wonderful...And I Just Love Laying By Her Feet Because She Rubs On Me While She Is Working.  Here I Am Just Hanging Out With Her After A Day Of Working.  She Is Also Going To Help With Markets Before She Goes Back To School.  I Sure Will Miss Her When She Goes Back.

We Met A Really Neat Guy Named Michael At The Decatur Farmers Market.  He Just Sent Us A Picture Of His Pooch That Loves Our Treats Along With a Dogamonial...Check It Out....

"Libby was always a smart playful dog before I bought her some Big Daddy Biscuits but my how things have changed. She now is fluent in four languages, one being Latin. She balances the family check book and is consulting with Congress on financial reform of the banking industry. They asked her for advice, not the other way around. As I write, she is in the kitchen creating another Asian fusion meal because she knows how much we enjoy that type of food. All in all, I would say Big Daddy Biscuits deliver a lot more than they promise. Your dog will never be the same. "
Michael,  Decatur GA.

Mom  Just Got Home From The W Hotel In Buckhead.   The Event Was With The Atlanta Humane Society And A Portion Of Everyone's Check Was Being Donated Back To AHS!!  So Many Wonderful Dogs Were There And Big Daddy Got To Hand Out Some Treats To All The Canine Guests.  Here Is Just One Of The Lucky Pooches. That Sure Was A Lot Of Fun And Even Better...One Of The Guests Was Was Interested In Two Of The Dogs That Needed A Home.  We Will Keep You Posted.

Great Ideas From Great People!!!

Big Daddy Is Laying In The Backyard Getting Some Sun So I Decided To Take Over For A Quick Guest Blog.

While We Were Visiting The Sweet Auburn Market Yesterday I Was Speaking With Our Friend Maria Who Owns Cafe Campesino And We Were Showing Each Other Our Frequent Buyer Punch Cards And I Had To Share This With Everyone.  When Comparing Our Cards I Mentioned How I Needed To Come Up With A Punch Or Stamp For Big Daddy And Before I Knew It She Showed Me What She Had Created.  Maria Made This All Out Of Recycled Items In Her Home. From the Eraser...And It Is A Coffee Bean...On Top Of That It Is Attached To Ornament.  I Sure Was Impressed!!  Make Sure You Go Down To See Her And Try Her Organic Fair Trade Coffee.

Fun Day At The Morningside Farmers Market

What A Fun Day We Had At The Market This Past Weekend.  Look At Our New Friend Kweller, Who Is Only 8 Months Old. How Cute And Just Imagine How Big This Cutie Bernese Mountain Dog Is Going To Get. (Especially Eatting Our Yummy Treats).  He Kept Coming Up To My Mom And Sitting Right In Front Of Her Wanting More.  I Know That Makes My Mom Feel Really Good.  Just Wish That I Could Have Been There To Hang Out.

Sometimes I Wonder Where Mom Gets All Of Her Ideas????  She Made Our Easter Biscuits And She Was Not Sure How To Place Them On The Table With The Biscuits...She Looked Over To Our Friends At Woodland Gardens Who We Get So Many YUMMY Veggies From And Bought Some Carrots And Look What She did.  When She Got Home I Got To Crunch On These YUMMY Veggies.  You Don't Think That She Will Keep These To Just For Us To Enjoy, She Is Working On A Special Treat That Will Be Coming Our Early Spring.  That Is The One Great Thing About Being The Official Taste Tester....I Get To Taste Everything First.  I'm A Lucky Dog...(That's For Your Cousin Ken).

We Will Only Be At The Market For Two More Saturday's.  We Have Several Other Events Planned For The Month Of April And Then We Will Be Starting Marietta Square Farmers Market on May 1st.  Looking Forward To Seeing All Of Our Friends!!

Gotta Run...Big Mama's Calling..Time For Our Walk....It Is So Nice To Be Able To Take A Walk At 6PM And The Sun Still Being Out...

Amazing Week We Just Had

Gosh I will Tell You I Am So Proud Of My Mom. For A While Now I Had Been A Little Jealous Of The Computer Because She Had Been Paying More Attention To It Then Of Me.  I Just Did Not Realize That She Had Been Working Really Hard To Try To Get Our Yummy Biscuits Out To The Public.  I Will Give You An Example.  Mom Has Been Twittering And When People Follow Our Story She Checks To See What Kind Of Business Or Person It Is.  That Is How We Have Meet Some Great People To Do Product Reveiws.  We Just Had One Published From Paws Nation Which We Did Not Realize Ran On AOL. Yes, You Saw Correctly..AOL Which Is America On Line.  So This Went Out All Around The Country.  WOW!!  So Last Tuesday Mom Had A Meeting With Our Friend Andrew, Who Has A Company Called Frogs To Dogs.  He Has A Cool Emergency Transportataion Service To Assist Getting Your Pet Care If They Are Injured And/Or Serverey Ill.  They Also Do Dog Training As Well As Pet Sitting.  Hence..Frogs To Dogs..  Ok..Back To The Story...Mom Checked Our E-Mail  And Orders Were Coming In Left And Right.  I Am Surprised That Our Computer Was Not Smoking.  Over 150 Came In As Well As People Interested In Wholesaling Them.  How Exciting Is That.  We Have Received Some Great Feedback As Well.  Here Is The Latest From Our Friend Jackie In Richmond VA.
"My Tibetan Spaniel is just plain picky. He prefers that I serve him homecooked meals, so I do. After reading about Big Daddy Biscuits, I decided to order a 1/4 lb. bag of the mixed biscuits to see if he would try any or all of them. He initially turned up his nose, but after I broke one in half for him and he tasted just a tiny bite, he then proceeded to devour one of each flavor just like that. He even went so far as to growl at me when I approached him when he was eating one. Of course, I put a stop to that foolishness right away. Within the hour, I had already gone online and ordered a larger supply so that when the first bag runs out,! I will have more in the cabinet. You did a good job when you came up with your recipes." Jackie Weaver, Richmond, VA

We Just Want To Thank Her So Much For The Kind Words And Supporting Big Daddy.  Mom Is Up And Going To Take Me For A Walk......Catch Up With You Pups Later!!

Big Daddy Here...Hope Everyone Is Having A Wonderful Weekend As Big Mama and I Are.  We Have Been Busy And Sure Glad That We Are Able To Spread The Love To Everyone On This Great Spring Like Weekend.  This Is Well Deserved Since Just Last Week We Had 3-5 Inches Of Snow On The Ground.  I Like This Weather Much Better.  The Sound Of The Wind Chimes, The Long Walks Seeing All Of Our Friends And Being Able Not To Freeze When We Are At The Markets.  I Always Feel Bad For Mom And All Of Her Friends But What Is Amazing Is That People Are Lined Up Waiting For The Yummy Organic Veggies From Everyone!!!

Mom Was Thrilled To Get Another Product Review.  This One Came From Paw Nation. JustThrilled That The Dogs Are Just Loving Our Treats.  The Next Morning Mom Went To The Morningside Farmers Market.  What A Perfect Day.  It Was So Nice Outside And Mom Came Home To Tell Me That It Was A Good Day For Us.  That Is What I Love To Hear.  I Was Thrilled That I Got To Go In The Car And Get Some Fresh Air.  We headed Over To City Dog Market. We Got To See Patsy And Renee Along With Their Dog BIG DADDY!!!
Mom Also Spoiled Me And Got Me A New Toy Which I Just LOVE!! I Just Can't Seem To Get Enough Of It.  I Really Have To Work Hard At This One.  Mom Is Just Wondering How Long It Is Going To Take Me To Distroy It.  Any Bets?

It's Raining It's Pouring.....

So I Will Fill You In On Our Weekend.....

At The Market Yesterday Mom Was Surprised That There Were So Many People (30) Waiting Until 8 am To Start Buying All The Wonderful Organic Veggies And Other Goodies That Were Available.  I Know Mom Had To Be Little Nervous Waiting To See If People Were Going To Check Out What We Had Being New With Our Biscuits And Then Realize It Was For No Reason.  We Were Welcomed With Open Arms.  People That Did Not Have Their Dogs With Them Samples and Then Broke Down And Bought A Smaller Bag.  Others Did Not Hesitate To Get Some.

Our Friend Megan Came By To Get Some Treats For The People Taking Pet First Aid & CPR That She Was Teaching With Our Friends At The Village Vets In Decatur.  She Told Me That Her Cat Even Enjoyed Them.  We Are Looking Forward To Watching This Grow.

My Paws Are Getting A Little Tired Now So I will Say Ciao Ciao For Now As My Mom Does And Talk To You All Soon.

Are Those Biscuits I Smell?

Something Smells Really Good Right Now.  You Can't Tell From My Face Could You????I Bet It is The Peanut Butter Biscuits That Mom Is Making.  I Heard Her Talking To Someone About Making Valentines Biscuits So That Pet Owners Could Give Them To There Dogs As Well As There Friends Dogs.  What Better Way To Show Some Love? Our Friend Keith Came Over On This Wonderful Day To Take Pictures.  I Love It When He Come Over Because He Always Talks To Me In A Funny Voice And Gives Me Biscuits When Mom Is Not Looking.  The Only Bad Thing Is That I Can't Be Near Him While He Is Working Becuase All I Want To Do Is Eat Them.  But Who Could Blame A Dog????
They Sure Turned Out Looking Good. I Hope That We Are Able To Make A Bunch Of Dogs Happy This Time Of Year Especially With The Ones Who Are Not As Lucky As I Am.  After Mom Finished All The Cleaning We Hopped Into The Car With Jars Of Biscuits.  We Met A Nice Lady Who Is Particiapating In A the Virginia Highland Silent Auction To Benefit Two Parks In The Neighborhood.  Mom Used To Live In This Neighborhood For Several Years And Is Thrilled To Help Out!!
That Is All For Now.  We Have Another Busy Day To Get Ready For.

The Weather as Been Very Strange In Atlanta And We Got Around A Half Of A Inch Of Snow. I know It Does Not Sound Like Much But Since The Weather Was So Cold (It Did Not Go Above 26) Everything Was Iced Up. My Mom Tried To Get Me To Play Outside But All I Wanted To Do Is Try To Catch Snow Flakes In My Mouth.

We Had A Busy Day Today Baking Biscuits And Getting Them Out To The Post Office. One Biscuit Went   To Our Friend Michelle In Maryland.  She Has A Store Called Pet Instincts.  This Was Our Second Time Sending To Her And We Have Only Had GREAT Feedback From Her Customers.  Big Daddy Is Looking For A Long Lasting Relationship With Her.  We  Also Sent Biscuits To Our Friends At The Moore Farm And Friends.  Mom Just Loves What Will And Laurie Do To Help Local Farmers They Offer A Way A Way Of Getting Small Sustainable, Certified Naturally Grown And USDA Certified Organic Food Producers Products To The Public. We Are Honored And Thrilled To Be Part Of This Wonderful Project.

This Morning When I Woke Up I Over Heard My Mom On The Phone With Grammy (Her Mom).  At First I Thought That Something Was Wrong But The More I Heard The More I Understood.  Mom Has Been Working Really Hard To Get Our Products Our to The World.  Our Second Pet Review Came in From Our Friends Haute or Not.  What A Wonderful Review And Way To Wake Up!!

We Just Want To Thank Everyone For Their Support In Our First Year Of Business And Looking Forward To The Second!!!

Favorite Time Of Year

As I was laying in my favorite spot in the backyard, I began to recall the weekends events that mom did. I was impressed that she decided to do so much considering it was her birthday!!

I wanted to first introduce you to our newest spokes dog, Kalli.

She is a 9 month old yorkie. Her mom Peggy is so sweet and lets mom hold her when they see one another. She sure loves our biscuits. You can also see her on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8EbA-R8O0U

Grammy (mom's mom) did the Marietta Square Farmers Market http://www.mariettasquarefarmersmarket.com/ so that mom could attend the Ahimsa House's Wag 'N Walk. http://www.ahimsahouse.org/ They are a wonderful group that helping the human and animal victims of domestic violence across Georgia reach safety together.

Mom made some great connections and soon you all will be able to get Big Daddy Biscuits at City Dog Market http://citydogmarket.com/. What better place to be since Patsy and Renee's dog's name is Big Daddy. I can't wait to play with him. Sure hope we get along.

As quick as mom got home she had to turn around and leave to go to another event. This one she was both excited and nervous about. Paws Atlanta http://pawsatlanta.com/ had their annual fundraiser with Victoria Stilwell. Mom got an autographed book and she gave her a jar of dog biscuits. We sure hopes that her dogs like them. Who knows what could come of that???

Mom is also working on the event that we are having in Brownwood Park. It is called, "Who's Your Daddy Dog Show and BBQ" This is going to be fun event. I will be sure to keep you posted on what is happening.

Gotta go now...time to go outside to check the house before turning in for the night!!

Let The Festivities Begin!!!

Oy Vey, I can't believe it is here already!!! My mom's niece Abby is having her Bat Mitzvah this weekend!!! Mom has been looking at pictures of her when she was little and saying, I remember when she was born and Howard put her in my arms....It was like yesterday...Now this. I am not sure if you all know what a Bat Mitzvah is so I check the web and found this....as a dog, I am not used to talking about these things, "According to Jewish Law, every Jewish girl becomes a bat mitzvah at age 12 - a year earlier than a Jewish boy becomes a bar mitzvah due to the fact that girls mature earlier than boys. As a bat mitzvah, she becomes obligated by God's commandments - as prescribed in the Torah and as interpreted by Moses, the Prophets, the Sages and the Rabbis.

A Jewish girl becomes a bat mitzvah automatically upon turning 12 years old. No ceremony is needed. The Reconstructionist Movement introduced the idea of celebrating a girl becoming a bat mitzvah in 1922. Since then, ceremonies to mark the occasion of a girl becoming a bat mitzvah have become more and more popular. While the bat mitzvah girl can celebrate from her 12th birthday, some wait and celebrate on the girl's 13th birthday. In many Reform, Reconstructionist and Conservative synagogues, the bat mitzvah may be celebrated by the girl blessing and/or reading Torah and also leading part of the prayer service. Festive meals and lavish parties in honor of a girl becoming a bat mitzvah have also become common in non-orthodox communities. http://tiny.cc/AcRkX

On Saturday, our friend Kat is going to do the Marietta Square Farmers Market, http://tiny.cc/7ZZjw so that mom can be with the family celebrating. ...goodness this blog is hard to type tonight because the show in the sky with all the noise is very loud..... http://tiny.cc/60boS, so I am going to go and come back a little later...Hang Tight My Friends It Will Be Over Soon.

What A Nice Day It Was Today!!

It was a early morning for my mom today, it was the Marietta Square Farmers Market
http://www.martiettasquarefarmersmarket.com/. I have even heard her say that she does not mind waking up early because it is so much fun. Sure wish I could go.... imagine how exciting it would be to see all the dogs, wonderful people and their dogs. I have heard mom talking about Cleopatra all the time. She can shake, give mom a hug and pulls her mom to my tent every Saaturday!!(She knows where it is ... I lOVE IT!!! I have been trying to upload her picture but my paws are getting in the way of ths touch screen.
Oh, is she a pretty one!!!!

Next weekend is mom's niece's Bat Mitzvah!! I get to go on a mini vacation to Wag-A-Lot http://www.wagalot.com/. I know that mom hates having to take me there but I LOVE GOING!!! I walk in the door and everyone screams my name like Norm on Cheers. If I am away from mom to long I do get little scared...biting my bed..but then there is that moment....they bring my threw the doors and ....I am so excited that I run right past her. So it wont be so bad.

Monday can't get her soon enought..we should hear about the Rescued Pet Idol Contest this week. How wonderful to be entered but maybe just maybe I will place. Everyone please cross your paws.

Mom and I took a nice walk tonight. It was such a wonderful night that it sure did not feel like the end of August.

Off to bed, my eyes tired and I want to snuggle with mom!!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend and feel free to leave us a comment!!

While Mom's Hanging with Grammy.....

I thought I would take the time to let you know of the adventure's that have been taking place. Our friend Jenn Green, took some picture's of our biscuits because we are going to be featured in the Atlanta Life Magazine. This is one of my favorite pictures that was taken. Mom sent six to them so I wonder which one they will choose. This is very exciting...it is for the holiday edition. Don't worry, I will let you know when it comes out. They will announce the winner of the Rescued Pet Idol contest next week and then will be on-line Aug 31, 2009 and out for distribution the following day. Along with that will will be under the Pet Brief that will be directly under the winners. How cool would that be if we actually placed as well!! I am crossing my paws for this one.

Mom started to make holiday biscuits. I know can you believe that it is that time of year already?? If you pre-order your Halloween by Sept. 30, and all holiday's that fall in December by Nov. 15, 2009 you will receive a 10% discount. I LOVE this holiday so I am excited that mom has been making them already.

So many exciting opportunities that could be upon us but I'm not allowed to say anything...want to surprise you all!!

Can't wait to tell!!

A Big Week For Us!!!

Mom has been busy baking in the kitchen so I decided to take the time to write to let everyone know what is going on for us this week. I am so excited especially since I am going to be able to join her over this weekend.

The first thing is that mom entered me in the Rescued Pet Idol contest in the Atlanta Intown Newspaper. I am #49 so please vote for me. You can send an e-mail to: vote@intownatlantapaper.com and in the body of the e-mail put #49 and my name Big Daddy. Sure would appreciate your support. We are going to also be listed in this paper in September under Pet Briefs. A very exciting time don't you think?

We are also having an event at one of the stores that mom sells at. It is called At The Collective http://www.atthecollective.com/. We have 35 artist selling everything from shirts, jewelery, art work, plants for the garden/home and organic skin care products. On Friday, August 7th, we are one of the featured artist and going to be showing all the different various gift ideas that we have put together for everyone. It will be from 6pm until 9pm and will have a DJ along with snacks and wine. We are really looking forward to this. On Saturday mom will be at the Marietta Farmers Market and then back to the store At The Collective because we are celebrating the Dog Days of Summer. PAWS Atlanta http://www.pawsatlanta.com/ will be there along with other dog vendors to let us know about the services that they offer. Decatur Animal ER is going to be there and I am thrilled about that. They work with Decatur Village Vets http://www.thevillagevets.com/ and Frogs to Dogs http://www.frogstodogs.com/. By the way, did I mention if you go to Decatur Village Vets you can get my biscuits there. On Sunday, our friend Lisa Poole will be there with her Greyhounds rescue group. http://www.greyhoundadoption.org/ This should be a fun filled weekend!!! Animal Planet is going to be there as well so YAHHHHHOOOOO!!

I gotta go now because it is raining and need to get in my safe spot....under the dining room table!!!
WOOF WOOF!!!!

You Ask Who Is Big Daddy?

My photo
Atlanta, GA, United States
Thanks for coming by and visitng my daily life. Since Big Mama works so hard hand pressing all of the biscuits I thought that I could keep everyone up to date on what is going on, share pictures and get your comments. If you see any typos I am sorry now for that but it is really hard to type when you don't have thumbs. Let me first tell you a little about myself. I am an American Bulldog and was found wondering around by the Federal Penitentiary in Atlanta Georgia. I was so little that my my head was bigger than my body. One look at me and my mom knew I needed lots of loving and care. I had been on the street so long without Proper nourishment I developed Toxoplasmosis and now have cataracts in both eyes and slowly going blind. She has nursed me back to health and today my body is strong and happy. My mom and I are now inseparable and have a large extended family who give me plenty of attention. But most of all I make my mom happy. "You Know You Want Some" - Big Daddy http://www.bigdaddybiscuits.com
